Batanes, Paradise Uncovered

Date: August 3-6, 2018
Travel Buddies: Gwenne, Toni

Batanes has been on the top list of my BucketList Destinations in the country, my second and third being Palawan and Camiguin which I have long visited on. Apparently, Batanes is not an easy destination to go to. With its location (uppermost part), weather (almost all of the typhoon in the PH are passing on it) and fare (which some say is more expensive than that of the fares going to our Southeast Asian neighbours), you don't just hop in and book a flight going there. There must be a plan --- depending on your priority, mine's the plane fare and weather. So once my colleague Gwenne knew of an introductory fare that is way way below the regular rate, we readily booked for it, a bit hesitant on the date we selected because it was on rainy season (August). But with the erratic weather patterns, it could rain on a summer season and it can be super sunny on a rainy season.
